Károly Elekes /MAMŰ group: Action I (Creating Relationships). Performance, Târgu-Mureș, 1978.

The artist writes about the event documented in an artist's book: "In the six rectangles of the laid out system, six subjects try to create a symbolic relationship with thin strips of paper. The ad hoc nature of the previously unexplained goal keeps the company in contemplation. What is needed is an idea that can be put into practice." The almost natural consequence of this is that those engaged in the act of making contact with the strips lose patience and, swinging on a string, tear apart and throw away their tangled and raster-like paper shackles.
